By ANDREW MUKOMATHE Victoria Falls, World Heritage Site in the Tourist Capital has recorded a total of 6, 968 tourists visiting the site during the just ended Easter Holiday.National Heritage Conservation Commission (NHC) Conservation Officer-anthropology John Zulu has disclosed the visitors were both locals and internationals.Mr Zulu said compared to the 2021 Easter Holiday, the number in 2022 has dropped by 14 per cent from 7,635 in 2021.He attributed this to high travel costs due to the increase in fuel pump price.Mr Zulu has however said the property recorded 3.3 percent in increase of foreign tourists from 120 in 2021 to 404 in 2022 during this Easter holiday.He also attributed this to mainly removal of Covid 19 travel restrictions which were being implemented by the new dawn administration.Mr Zulu said, subsequently the removal of COVID 19 has improved occupancy and a wide tourism demand in the tourist capital.He has thanked the government for the reduced […]
