By MAKOKWA CLARA MUYENDEKWASome promotions that were made in the Zambia Police Service were not in line with the constitution of Zambia, says Home affairs and internal Security minister, Jack Mwiimbu. Mr Mwiimbu was speaking when he paid a Courtesy on Southern Province Minister Cornelius Mweetwa in Choma.He said some promotions were done without considering what the law states and did not follow the right procedures.Mr Mwiimbu also observed that there were some officers who were more deserving but were left out due to discrimination.“We have officers who have served for more than 15 years but were not promoted yet others were promoted despite having served for a short time,” said Mr Mwiimbu.
