THE Patriotic Front constitution is going to be amended to meet people’s aspirations, acting Secretary General Nickson Chilangwa has said.Mr Chilangwa said the PF constitution would be amended during the general conference.The former ruling party is expected to hold the general conference in June this year to elect a party President to take over from former republican President Edgar Lungu.A number of people have shown interest to contest its presidency. These include former Democratic Congress Party leader Chishimba Kambwili, former ambassador to Ehiopia Emmanuel Mwamba and Kamfinsa Member of Parliament, Christopher Kang’ombe, among others.Mr Chilangwa said the PF central committee will discuss whether the constitution can be amended before or during the general conference.He said the central committee is expected to put in place a committee which will look into the matter.
