GOVERNMENT will decentralise the recruitment of the 11,200 health workers once consultations with various stakeholders like the minister of Finance and secretary to cabinet are concluded, ministry of Health permanent secretary George Magwende has said.Dr Magwende said they had done away with the earlier method of people applying at the Ministry of Health headquarters.He said people would now apply from their respective districts and provinces and that the process would be advertised in both the print and electronic media.“The recruitment process will be decentralized to the district level then form there there will be a committee at provincial, then a service commission and will not take applications to headquarters,” he said.Dr Magwende said that the move was aimed at enabling individuals to apply in areas where they were comfortable to work in.He said if one wanted to work in a particular province, it would be easier to apply in the respective area unlike what was […]
