A 45 year old man has told the Choma magistrate court that he stole a goat from an old woman so he could exchange it for a bag of fertilizer.The gardener who also admitted to skinning the goat and selling it to people in Kamunza compound in order to raise money.Felix Sianyanga of Chigunta village in chief Cooma’s area of Choma District was in this case charged with stock theft contrary to section 275 of the penal code of the laws of Zambia.It is alleged that on a date unknown but between February 8, 2022 and February 9, 2022 the accused did steal a goat valued at k650 property of Stela Siatandila.Brief facts before court were that the 52 year old complainant of Siachoobe village secured her goats before going to sleep on February 8, 2022.She then woke up the following day around 05:00 hours and went to the field without checking the goats.When returning […]
