ZAMTEL embarks on expansion programmeBy Irvin MuyumbwaZamtel says it will continue expanding its network by adding capacity and building new sites to support the expected jump in mobile traffic volumes this year.Zamtel Corporate Communications Manager Changwe Kabwe disclosed that the company hoped to complete the rolling out of new communication towers in 2022 and modernize its mobile network with the full installation of a new Online Charging System.He said Zamtel intended to ramp up investments in new infrastructure to keep the customers connected especially in the rural areas and other highly underserved regions.Mr Kabwe said Zamtel would be growing its 4G footprint in 2022 and continue to pursue a “value-driven” strategy for all Zambians.
