There is need for serious interrogations of not only the teaching methodology but also the motive for failing the students. It is unacceptable that after almost 60 years of independence, and a population of 20 million people, Zambia has a paltry 1, 000 qualified lawyers.Remember that students pay in excess of K20, 000 per sitting. Remember too around 400 students take these exams per cohort. So, by simple arithmetic that is handsome income. The more candidates per cohort, the more revenue is generated. This could be the primer for the failure rate.Unfortunately, since 2010 or thereabouts, the same trend of results has been sustained.
