Law enforcement agencies should speed up the process to recover plundered public resources, Democratic Governance and Human Rights Advocacy (DEGHA) National Coordinator, Gerald Mutelo has said.He noted that several people have been summoned by law enforcement agencies but little progress has been seen so far as no conviction has been secured so far.Speaking in an interview in Kitwe yesterday, Mr. Mutelo called on Government to equip the law enforcement agencies with necessary skills and funds to ensure that cases are quickly pursued and disposed of.“Government must also consider hiring foreign specialized investigators so that specialized skills are applied to quickly recover the plundered national resources and properties, currently it seems our law enforcement agencies lack some specialized skills to deal with these cases of graft hence the need to beef up the team with specialized investigators from outside the country,” he said.Mr. Mutelo also called for the immediate operationalization of the Fast Truck court handling […]
