By ROGERS KALEROMOPANI Copper Mines (MCM) will reclaim its slug dump popularly known as the “Black Mountain” in Mufulira and use the proceeds to empower youths and women in the district through fish farming and other projects, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Charles Sakanya has said.Mr Sakanya said the giant mining firm was planning to reclaim the dump site and use it to embark on a huge Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme in the district to help create jobs and food security in the homes of youths and women in the district.Mr Sakanya said during the familiarisation tour of the mine by Copperbelt Minister Elisha Matambo that the mining company was seeking to partner with Government in empowering youths through various projectsHe named some of the projects to be initiated as fish farming, chicken rearing and agriculture among other things.“As MCM, we have a dumpsite popularly known as the Black mountain in Mufulira which […]
