The President was accompanied to Malawi by foreign affairs and international relations minister Stanley Kakubo.The SADC Heads of State Extraordinary Summit was called by Malawi President Dr Lazarus Chakwera who’s the current SADC chairperson to discuss continued Jahadi insurgency in Mozambique among other things.
