By SIMON MUNTEMBATHE sixth 2022 National Census of Population and Housing (CPH) will be conducted through an electronic questionnaire, Government has announced.Secretary to the Treasury Felix Nkulukusa said the population and housing census would be conducted digitally from August 18 to September 14 this year.Mr Nkulukusa said in a statement that the upcoming CPH would adopt the Computer-Assisted Personal Interview (CAPI) technique and shall involve gathering information with the use of an electronic questionnaire, on computer tablets. He said that a Statutory Instrument had been gazetted and signed by the Finance Minister, Dr Situmbeko Musokotwane.Mr Nkulukusa said the complete departure from the previous censuses, which were paper-based, was aimed at introducing cost effectiveness in the collection and processing of data.He also said that the designation of census dates would enable the Zambia Statistics Agency (ZamStats) to intensify preparations.Mr Nkulukusa also said that ZamStats would soon release the census roadmap, outlining key activities leading to the […]
