By JACKSON MAPAPAYIDELAYS in rehabilitating a 1×4 classroom block at Yowela Day Secondary School in Mushindamo has worried Chief Musaka of the Lamba people.The classroom block had its roof ripped off during heavy rains in 2019 and since then, it has remained unattended to a situation which has affected learning at that school.Chief Musaka said it is unfortunate that the only school in the area has been neglected resulting into pupils failing to learn due to shortage of classroom blocks. He was speaking when government officials led by Mushindamo District Commissioner Andrew Kalangwa paid a courtesy call on him at his palace.Chief Musaka appealed to the government to rehabilitate the school to restore order and improve learning at the school.He said pupils are forced run away for safety when it begins to rain.“Currently, I can say there is no school because with the rain season, classes are disturbed once it starts raining,” said Chief Musaka.
