By KETRA KALUNGAPRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema should consider the plight of unemployed cadres because they are likely going to start engaging in criminal activities, the Bishops Council of Zambia (BCZ) has said.BCZ Secretary General, Bishop Abel Kaela said President Hichilema and the UPND should quickly diverse ways of ensuring that the cadres who have continued to suffer despite being in power are empowered.Bishop Kaela said in an interview the UPND shouldn’t ignore the plight of cadres who are struggling to feed their families because it would be damaging to the ruling party once they entertain the thought of being neglected.He said there is nothing wrong in employing cadres with qualification as long as they meet the criteria.Bishop Kaela added that the UPND should use its privilege of being in power to come up with a number of fundraising ventures and empower the cadres to invest in income generating activities and ultimately sustain their families. “President Hichilema and […]
