FLAVIOR KANUNGOLIVESTOCK and fisheries Minister Makozo Chikote has urged farmers to cautiously control the movement of livestock if the foot and mouth disease is to be contained.The foot and mouth disease which was earlier detected in Southern province has now spread to Itezhi-tezhi district.Mr Chikote said government had already procured vaccines and distribution was under way starting with the most affected areas.He however said farmers needed to ensure that animal movement was controlled so that the disease was contained.He said government had also put up logistics that would allow extension framers to move to various places to sensitise farmers.
