Chamber of Commerce wants tax reforms expeditedBy Seniya BandaZambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry has urged government to ensure that it expedites the process of tax reforms which includes the implementation of the income, customs and exercise duty tax.The Income tax is tax on profits made by limited companies, partnerships and self-employed individuals as well as on emoluments earned by employees.Recently, government announced that it has embarked on an ambitious plan to revamp the tax system in order to boost economic activities.And ZCCI president Chabuka Kawesha has explained that there is need to ensure that the content of the income bill is made available to market players in order to massively understand the bill before its implementation.
