By GRACE CHAILE LESOETSANEWLY sworn-in members of service commissions have been advised that their appointments are not to avenge wrongs done in the past but to serve honestly and fairly for the benefit of Zambians.Chief Justice Dr Mumba Malila gave the advice during the swearing-in ceremony for members of the Civil Service Commission (CSC), Local Government Commission (LGC) and Judicial Service Commission (JSC) held at the Lusaka High Court yesterday.Justice Malila said Zambians were expecting fair decisions and high standards in the discharge of their responsibilities.He called on them to ensure that decisions are allied with the overall vision and policies of the government to complement and not impede the smooth operation of the public sector.“Ethics and honesty matter from the beginning of your tenure right to the very end of your leadership path in the various commissions to which you have been appointed.
