By NATION REPORTER MANOEUVRES by Vedanta of creating an impression that they have regained management control of KCM assets should not be entertained by the general public, the mining firm has warned.KCM General Manager for Corporate Affairs, Shapi Shachinda, said that KCM remained under the management and control of the provisional liquidator, pursuant to the court order dated May 21, 2019.Mr Shacinda said that Vedanta were not involved in the operations of the mining firm.“The public are advised to disregard this deliberate attempt to mislead the nation because Vedanta remains uninvolved in the running of operations,” he said.“The public will be notified of any developments regarding the management of the KCM assets,” Mr Shachinda said.Recently Vedanta Minerals conducted a facemask distribution process in Chingola to fight the scourge as the country grapples with the surging numbers of Covid-19 cases.
