THE 13 representatives of the Mbeza Royal Establishment of the Ila people have discontinued the case where they challenged the selection and installation of Professor King Nalubamba to the throne.The plaintiffs from the five families who are part of the eight families of the Mbeza Royal Establishment are seeking an order declaring that the selection and installation of Prof Nalubamba as successor to the throne of the late chief Bright Nalubamba, was null and void.“Take notice that the plaintiff hereby discontinues all further proceedings in the above mentioned cause against the defendants,” read the notice.In this matter, Mr Pawsen Munamooya and 12 others cited Prof Nalubamba, Joseph Mwanambulo and Mukamadede Munamooya seeking an order declaring that Mr Munamooya is the rightful person eligible to ascend to the throne in line with practices and customs of the Ila-speaking people of Namwala.
