By NATION REPORTERThe Zambia Centre for Interparty Dialogue (ZCID) has elected the Party for National Unity and Progress (PNUP) president, Mr. Highview Hamududu, as the Board Chairperson and Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) National Secretary, Mrs. Elizabeth Chitika as spokesperson.The two were elected at a Board meeting held at ZCID Secretariat on Monday, December 20, 2021.Mr Hamududu takes over from the Forum for Political Parties (FPP) Chairperson and Golden Party of Zambia (GPZ) Mr. Jackson Silavwe who has served for two consecutive terms.ZCID Executive Director, Doreen Kabwe thanked Mr. Silavwe for his unwavering leadership, professionalism, assertiveness and hands on approach that he exhibited during his tenure as ZCID Board Chairperson.Ms Kabwe said Mr Silavwe’s immerse contribution towards propelling the Centre towards achieving the its mandate to deepen and consolidate democratic governance in Zambia would never be forgotten.“Many milestones were achieved under his leadership,” she said.Ms Kabwe wished the outgoing Board Chairperson all the best in […]
