By ADRIAN MWANZAA UPND councillor in Lusaka was on Saturday clobbered by irate cadres from his party after a misunderstanding.Mainda Simataa, Kamwala ward councillor confirmed in an interview that he was assaulted by fellow party members.Mr Simata said the incident happened at Kamwala Basic School grounds but could not give more details as the party has decided to resolve the issue internally.He refused not give the exact details on what transpired and insisted that the matter was being dealt with by the party administration.“I gave the details as they were and the party hierarchy is dealing with the matter, therefore I can’t give you any details,” he said.Mr Simataa said he had not reported the matter to the police but left it to the party to handle the issue.He said it was unfortunate that members of his party could commit such a crime but believes justice would be meted out by the party.
