BY SENIYA BANDA Zambia National Farmers Union-ZNFU has predicted that the country is likely to record an outbreak of locusts and armyworms during this year’s farming season following the current weather condition being experienced.Union Media Liaison Officer Kelvin Kaleyi says with the flooding and dry spells being experienced in some parts of the country, there is likely to be an increase in the outbreak of locusts and armyworms.Mr Kaleya has since called on farmers to ensure that they stock chemicals in order to prevent crops from being damaged.He has also called on government to ensure that it distributes the chemicals to the farmers as soon as possible.
