BY MAKOKWA CLARA MUYENDEKWAA DRUG Enforcement Commission Investigations Officer has testified in the Choma magistrate court about how the search conducted in Macha area of Choma District led to finding a man trafficking in marijuana.Sharon Sampa also presented the K30 which had not earlier been presented to court and had forced Resident magistrate Selia Kanunka to order the officers to bring it as part of the evidence before court.Dominic Munachoonga aged 30 years of Simulangu village in Chief Macha area stood charged with trafficking in narcotic drugs contrary to section 15 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic substances Act.35 of the laws of Zambia as read together with statutory Instrument No. 119 of 1995.Particulars of the offence are that Dominic Munachoonga, on 26 August 2021 at Choma District of Southern Province of Zambia did traffic in narcotic drugs namely marijuana weighing 50.6 grams without authority.Investigations Officer Sampa told the court that she and other officers went to search […]
