BY GIDEON NYENDWATHE Movement for Multi-party Democracy (MMD) has entered into a partnership with the United Party for National Development administration.MMD president Nevers Mumba said they have decided to enter into a partnership with the ruling party based on a set of common values that the two parties share.Dr. Mumba said the partnership was aimed at supporting progressive development agenda and some policy positions that the UPND administration has lined up which their party would have explored if they were given a mandate to govern this country.He said he had sat with President Hakaihinde Hichilema and discussed the partnership based on their shared values and they were in agreement.“We are in total agreement,” he said.Dr. Mumba said President Hichilema must be supported in his quest to renew Zambia’s democracy.He said the partnership was not an entry to the UPND alliance because it was a separate process as it was a partnership to support what they believed was a progressive programme for […]
