By ADRIAN MWANZA FORMER Republican President Rupiah Banda has challenged western countries to let Zambians and Africans sort out their issues without interference.Mr Banda said that if given an opportunity, Africa could resolve its issues amicably without the help of western countries.“If you leave us Africans to find solutions to our problems, we can do it very well even without the help of Western countries,” he said.Mr Banda said Zambia was a beacon of peace and the rest of the world needed to learn how she has managed to mentain peace.He said the peaceful transition of power from president Edgar Lungu to MrHakainde Hichilema was a big statement even when most people were anticipating something else.Mr Banda said that losing power was a difficult thing but that he had put the interests of Zambians first that was why he conceded defeat to President Michael Sata.
