By NATION REPORTER THE scrapping of the Ministry of National Guidance and Religious Affairs by the new Government is an assault to Christianity, Operation Save MMD executive member Chishala Chilufya has charged. Mr Chilufya said the ministry promoted Christian values and gave more meaning to the declaration of Zambia as a Christian nation. He told the Daily Nation in an interview that the ministry actualized Zambian’s Christian status and scrapping it off was an assault to Christianity. “The act to scrap the Ministry of Religious Affairs is not only an assault on Christianity but also clear indication that the Church must brace itself for harder times under this administration,” Mr Chilufya charged. He hoped that the new administration would maintain the national day of prayer and reconciliation.
