BY FLAVIOR KANUNGOThe Law Association of Zambia LAZ has indicated that the council will soon convene to scrutinize the presidential appointment of the attorney general and the solicitor general.Meanwhile LAZ President Abyudi Shonga has clarified that LAZ is only consulted at parliamentary ratification level and not at appointment state as some people have submitted.On Monday President Hakainde Hichilema announced the appointment of Mr. Mulilo Kabesha as Attorney General and Marshal Muchende as Solicitor General in line with articles 177 and 179 of the constitution of Zambia pending parliamentary ratification.And state counsel Shonga says the association is relieved that the appointments have finally been made and has confirmed that the two appointed lawyers are members of LAZ.
