HH sacks PSs, recalls envoysBy OLIVER SAMBOKO PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has terminated the services of some Government officials at permanent secretary level and recalled several diplomats.Announcing the terminations, Presidential spokesperson Anthony Bwalya said amongst those whose contracts have been terminated are Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit (DMMU) National Coordinator Chanda Kabwe and Permanent secretary in the Office of the Vice President Juliana Shoko.He said President Hichilema’s decision to terminate the contracts was made in keeping with the promise of delivering servant-based leadership that focuses on optimising value for citizens in the manner that various government ministries function. Mr Bwalya also said the terminations have been made to entrench a new culture of accountability in the way government works and to foster a culture of economic diplomacy.
