By ADRIAN MWANZATHE Patriotic Front (PF) has congratulated President-elect, Hakainde Hichilema, on his victory in the August 16 general elections.Mr Hichilema garnered 2, 810, 757 while his closest rival Edgar Lungu got 1, 814, 201 votes.PF Deputy Media Director, Edwin Lifwekelo, said it was time for the former ruling party to take time to introspect. “Let us search our hearts and seek God’s face, we still have a part to play as the largest opposition Political Party in Zambia we therefore urge our members to remain disciplined and united as we wait for the party’s guidance on the way forward,’’ he said.Mr Lifwekelo also congratulated the outgoing President, Edgar Lungu for running a peaceful general election and for his immense contribution to the country’s political and economic space.He said Mr Lungu had run a good race and that politics was about contestation of ideas and self-service, and that the outgoing was a beacon who exhibited such […]
