By ANDREW MUKOMATHE Livingstone Pastors Fellowship has asked Government to consider allowing churches back to the usage of classrooms as prayer places.This in view of the fact that some members do not have their own permanent structures to hold prayers.Fellowship Chairperson, Charles Musonda said that since the ban on the usage of classrooms by government, some of the members have never held prayers with their congregants because they do not have facilities for such.He was speaking during a meeting with Vice President Inonge Wina in Livingstone at the weekend.Reverend Musonda said the COVID-19 outbreak had worsened the situation while land was also scarce and were unable to build their own permanent buildings.He said that because of such challenges, the welfare of some clergy had also been affected as the little contributions that came from congregants were no more.The Fellowship chairperson also raised concerns with some political leaders who were failing to denounce violence among cadres.Reverend […]
