By BUUMBA CHIMBULUOVER 29, 523.31 grammes of gold has been bought from the artisanal and small-scale miners by the Zambia Gold Company Limited (ZGCL) from the time it started operations last year in January.The year to-date production for 2021 was currently at 38, 320.78 grammes of gold, as ZGCL continues to undertake gold explorations and mining in Kasenseli area in an effort to upscale production.ZGCL Project Manager, Charles Mjumpi, explained that the total cumulative quantity of gold so far from the time the company commenced operations in January last year was 29, 523.31 grammes.Mr Mjumpi indicated that the gold was bought from the artisanal and small-scale miners as a way of supporting them.He said this in Mwinilunga when he handled over desks to the District Education Board Secretary.He said the firm was carrying out gold explorations and mining activities in Mwinilunga’s Kasenseli area.Mr Mjumpi said the company would soon be conducting explorations in Luano Valley […]
