No bloodshed – BIGOCABy KETRA KALUNGATHERE should no bloodshed in the country as campaigns scale up from tomorrow, BIGOCA general overseer Archbishop Peter Ndhlovu has said.Archbishop Ndhlovu urged the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) to keep up with the firm stance it had taken on “violent” political parties.He urged political parties to co-exist as they conduct campaigns for peace and unity to prevail.Bishop Ndhlovu said there was no need for bloodshed as the country goes to the polls because no political leader was worth dying for.He said Zambia was known as a peaceful country and political leaders should show patriotism by upholding the country’s positive image.“It’s very possible for Zambia to have violent-free elections because in some parts of the country we have not heard of reports of violence and that is being civilised,” he said.Bishop Ndhlovu said the church was pleased to see the ECZ carry its mandate of disciplining erring political parties to […]
