By ADRIAN MWANZATHE first batch of ballot papers have arrive in the country ahead of the August 12 feneral election.The consignment containing ballots for 40 costituencies arrived at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (KKIA) aboard an Emirates flight E9542.On hand to receive the ballot papers, ECZ senior public relations officer Sylvia Bwalya said there were 95 pallets consisting of 40 constituencies.Ms Bwalya said that the process would go on until Friday when the last batch of ballots would come in the country.She said the next consignment would consist of 69 constituencies and that two planes would be used due to the large quantity.“The second batch will have ballots for 69 constituencies and the two planes carrying the papers will land at the same due to the size of the consignment,” she said.Ms Bwalya said a number of stakeholders had been invited for transparency’s sake which included political parties to witness the arrival of the ballot […]
