By ADRIAN MWANZAZAMBIA has continued to record a decrease in the cases of Covid-19 deaths in the past 48 hours after recording 37 cases.Ministry of Health permanent Secretary for technical services Kennedy Malama said the country was making steady progress as numbers reduced from 45 deaths on Monday to 37 yesterday.“We recorded 37 new Covid-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours; all the deaths have been classified as Covid-19 deaths,” he said.Dr Malama said the cumulative number of Covid-19 related deaths recorded to date stood at 2,904 (classified as 2,139 Covid-19 deaths and 765 Covid-19 associated deaths.He said they had discharged 1, 442 patients 106 from isolation facilities and 1,336 from home management, bringing the cumulative number of recoveries to 163,681 with 92% recovered overall.“It is therefore gratifying that His Royal Highness Paramount Chief Kalonga Gawa Undi on Monday announced the cancellation of this year’s Kulamba traditional ceremony of the Chewa people of Zambia, […]
