By NATION REPORTERTHE Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has rubbished claims that it has denied granting airspace clearances for five campaign helicopters for the UPND Alliance.CAA Public Relations Manager, Sepiso Zimba, said his organisation was not aware about any application for airspace clearances for the five Helicopters as alleged.Earlier this week, the UPND Alliance alleged that it had applied for clearance to enable partners, including Felix Mutati traverse the country for campaigns, but that the application was denied.But Mr Zimba said that there were no records at the CAA to substantiate such allegations.“The Zambia Civil Aviation Authority wishes to dispel the untruths therein contained and distance itself from this unfortunate allegation,” he said.Mr Zimba said the CAA which was normally copied in any such applications had not recommended, to the Zambia Air Force, the non-granting of the alleged airspace clearances in the absence of the subject applications.“The CAA wishes to reiterate its commitment to the fair […]
