By PETER SICHALI CONSTRUCTION of FTJ University in Mansa will resume as soon as the Ministry of Finance releases the funds, Luapula Province Permanent Secretary Charles Mushota has said.Mr Mushota said Government had set aside some funds in the 2021 budget for the project.Mr Mushota said construction had stalled due to lack of funding brought about by the adverse effects of Covid-19.He said construction will resume as soon as funds are released.“Government is very much committed to ensuring that the construction of FTJ University is completed, but this has not been possible with Covid-19,” Mr Mushota said.He said the completion of the university which is at 20 percent has delayed due to erratic funding brought about by Covid-19.“Covid-19 has affected countries the world over and Zambia has not been spared, however we remain committed to completing the project, “ Mr Mushota said.Various stakeholders including the Church and traditional leader have expressed concern with the […]
