POLICE NAB LUSAKA YOUTH FOR DESTROYING PF CAMPAIGN MATERIALS

By SIMON MUNTEMBA                                                          A 23-Years-old man of Lusaka’s Kabanana area has been arrested for pulling down and destroying campaign materials for Patriotic Front Mandevu aspiring Member of Parliament, Christopher Shakafuswa.Police spokesperson, Esther Katongo has identified the suspect as Joseph Sakala of Angel’s area, Kabanana Compound.Ms Katongo told the Daily Nation in a statement that the suspect destroyed the campaign materials of the PF aspiring candidate on Friday, June 11, around 16:30 hours in Chazanga Compound at Angel’s Clinic.“Police in Lusaka have arrested a male adult for pulling down and destroying campaign materials for Patriotic Front Mandevu aspiring Member of Parliament. The suspect has been identified as male Joseph Sakala aged 23 of Angel’s area, Kabanana compound,” Ms Katongo said.She said the suspect was currently detained in police custody awaiting court appearance.“We are reminding all political party sympathizers to avoid destroying other political party campaign materials as the act is criminal,” she said.
