By NATION REPORTERHAKAINDE Hichilema told the BBC that he was shot at twice on a campaign trail on the Copperbelt but the corporation took him on and challenged him to substantiate his claims.And PF member of Central Committee, Stephen Kampyongo has laughed off Mr Hichilema’s claims, accusing him of concocting ‘lies’ that police officers shot live ammunition at him in Chingola, to gain sympathy from the people.Mr Kampyongo, who is also former Home Affairs Minister said no one would want to kill Mr Hichilema. “It is wishful thinking and worse still, he wants to draw sympathy by concocting lies, who would want to kill Hakainde? He has been losing to us,” he said.When contacted, Mr Hichilema’s spokesperson, Anthony Bwalya said he was not aware of the BBC reports but that his boss was indeed shot at.Mr Bwalya said the shooters aimed at Mr Hichilema but luckily missed.
