By NATION REPORTER Resident Doctors Association of Zambia (RDAZ) President, Dr. Brian Sampa has been fired from the civil service.Dr. Sampa, according to a dismissal letter, has been relieved of his duty for missing work for more than 10 consecutive working days.Dr Sampa is however alleged to have been instigating a go slow to pressure government to pay doctors salary arrears, recruit over 500 unemployed doctors and to have those who have been serving for some time promoted. He said in response to his dismissal that he remained the president of the association and would not be intimidated.Dr Sampa said the fight for the plight of the doctors would continue until government responded positively.“If this is meant to intimidate and deter me from fighting for the cause of the doctors then it’s misplaced because we shall continue fighting. We are not shaken and the battle shall continue until the doctors plight is heard,” he said.’
