By ANDREW MUKOMATHE Zambia Scouts Association (ZSA), Southern Division, has donated sanitary pads to girls at Libuyu Community School in Livingstone.The donation was made to mark the menstrual week which was commemorated on May 28, this year.ZSA Southern Division Commissioner, Robby Zulu, explained that it was now apparent that vulnerable girls were very much affected when it comes to issues of sanitary.Mr Zulu said ZSA in partnership with Youth Alliance Zambia decided to donate over 50 sanitary pads to vulnerable school girls at Libuyu Community School.He said that his organisation amd the partner would always supplement Government.“The exercise was done in partnership with Youth Alliance Zambia. We encouraged the girls to use hygienic means during their menstrual times,” he said.Mr Zulu explained that inadequate knowledge of sexual and reproductive health among adolescents had remained a challenge among school going girls.
