By ROGERS KALEROTHE Copperbelt Energy Corporation (CEC) has donated 20 beds and accompanying mattresses worth more than K700,000 to Kitwe Teaching Hospital(KTH).CEC has also pledged that its Corporate Social Responsibility will focus on investing in the health sector to help cushion the pressure that has been placed on various health institutions. This is according to CEC Managing Director Owen Silavwe.Mr Silavwe said CEC was committed to participating in the advancement of quality health care and health care provision as evidenced in the donation of Covid-19 test kits and re-agents to the Ministry of Health, and hygiene products to Lumwana West Clinic in North-western province.Mr Silavwe was speaking yesterday when CEC donated 20 hospital beds worth K707,000 and 20 mattresses worth K26, 000He said the CEC was handing over another social investment in responding to the ravaging Covid-19 and aiding health workers in fighting the pandemic.Mr Silavwe said the hospital beds will help to cushion the pressure […]
