Dear Editor,IT is disheartening that some people, particularly the politicians, are in possession of the fake Grade 12 certificates. Integrity especially among those holding public office is cardinal in that an honest leader is always trusted by the people being led.In a nutshell, integrity is the state of being honest in whatever the person does.Many fake Grade 12 certificates were exposed by the Examinations Council of Zambia (ECZ) during the verification exercise for people aspiring for public office in this year’s general elections.It was revealed that some people currently serving in various positions had fake Grade 12 certificates. On the other hand, some people vying for political positions for the first time in this year’s polls are not spared either.Being in possession of the fake Grade 12 certificates by those seeking public office is not only disappointing but also an offence punishable by law.
