By NATION REPORTERTHREE national parks are expected to benefit 15 million pounds from the United Kingdom government to support Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (KAZA) landscape.British High Commissioner to Zambia, Nicholas Woolley, said the UK was allocating 100 million pounds for five landscapes across the world and KAZA was among them.Mr Woolley said this during a meeting with Tourism and Arts Minister, Ronald Chitotela in Lusaka.He said the money was planned for supporting various countries to address the effects of climate change and bio-diversity loss ahead of the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) to be hosted in Glasgow, Scotland in November this year.He named the parks to benefit from the funds as Kafue, Mosi-Oa -Tunya and Sioma-Ngwezi.And Mr Chitotela appealed to the envoy to prioritise the Kafue National Park in the support programmeMr Chitotela observed that earlier support to the Zambian component of KAZA by other cooperating partners has been concentrated in […]
