By NOEL IYOMBWAGOVERNMENT intends to increase grants for all hospitals throughout the country, acting Health minister Nkandu Luo has told parliament.Professor Luo said Government intends to increase the grands to hospitals in the next budgetary circle and that consideration will be given to level one hospitals.She said that efforts are also being made to mobilise resources from cooperating partners to strengthen services and service provision to district hospitals and St Josephs and St Margaret’s mission hospitals in Chifunabubili are inclusive. “Mr Speaker, Government is not aware of shortage of food at St Joseph’s Mission Hospital, but intends to increase grants to hospitals and consideration will be given to first level hospitals.“Efforts are being undertaken to mobilise funds so as to strengthen service delivery to district hospitals,” she said.The minister was responding to a question from Chifunabubili Member of Parliament Ponde Mecha who wanted to know if the government is aware that since it reduced grant […]
