Dear Editor,EDUCATION in Zambia needs to develop strongly on science and technology to improve the local economy into a manufacturing base.My best topic in secondary school was preparation of gases generally from the scientific point of view and I loved preparation of both Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide from a scientific sense.After so many years of about 15+ years today and this morning, I stood up to teach Grade 11 pupils about preparation of oxygen where I have remembered a couple of stuffs such as potassium permanganate, potassium chlorite, hydrogen peroxide and manganese (vi) oxide or dioxide.I loved chemical sciences unfortunately I never pursued anything in chemical sense at professional level but I do appreciate colours in paints mostly made out of these chemicals.The nation needs to develop a strong passion towards science and technology to improve the economic landscape.Our economic architecture has failed to produce substantial products to counteract depreciation of the local currency as […]
