By NATION REPORTERUPND has invaded Eastern Province and are now sponsoring some rejected PF aspiring candidates to contest as independents in order to split votes for the ruling party.The opposition party wants to cause confusion among electorates so that votes are divided.They are funding some candidates to present themselves as loyalists to President Edgar Lungu when they are contesting as independents with a hidden agenda.They have since formed a Whatsapp group mostly driving a narrative that proved otherwise as most of the things discussed were against the aspirations of the ruling party and the President.And Citizens Democratic Party (CDP) president, Robert Mwanza urged the PF leadership to critically look into the matter.Mr Mwanza said rejected candidates were usually vulnerable to manipulations by the opposition.He said in an interview that the PF secretariat should take interest in the happenings in Eastern province where most candidates left out have opted to go solo.
