From OLIVER SAMBOKO in KaribaFAMILY of late Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe has defied a local chief ruling compelling Grace Mugabe to exhume the body of her husband and rebury him at Heroes Acres in Harare.Paramount Chief Zvimba last week ordered the exhuming and reburial of Mr Mugabe’s body at the national heroes’ shrine in Harare after accusing the late leader’s wife of breaking local custom by interring him at his rural home in 2019.Mugabe, who was ousted in a coup that brought current Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa to power in November 2017, was buried at his village of Kutama after weeks of dispute between Grace and the Mnangagwa government over his final resting place.Speaking in a telephone interview with the Daily Nation, late Mugabe’s nephew Leo, said the family will not rebury Mr Magabe.SUBSCRIBE TO READ FULL STORY:[maxbutton id=”1″]
