SCHOOLS that will give in to laxity over adherence to Covid-19 measures will be closed, Health Minister Jonas Chanda has warned. Dr Chanda said it was disappointing that tertiary institutions including medical schools were abrogating Covid-19 measures with impunity. He called on heads of institutions to ensure that Covid-19 guidelines were strictly followed. “We will not hesitate to close institutions that will float Covid-19 guidelines,” Dr Chanda said. Dr Chanda said the reduction in case positivity should not be a recipe for poor adherence to the public health guidance.
