By SANFROSSA MANYINDAPOLICE officers must be alert and carry out their duties in a professional manner, says Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of operations Charity Katanga.She cautioned police officers to be wary of politicians who would want to use them to their advantage. Ms Katanga was speaking when she officiated at the commemoration of the 41-Intake 10th anniversary at Kamfinsa Mobile Unit School of Public Order Maintenance in Kitwe yesterday.The commemoration was held under the theme “10 years of hard work, discipline and dedication.” Out of the 350 officers that graduated from the school, six are deceased, six resigned from the service while one is serving a jail sentence. “We have over the past years witnessed situations where some officers have fallen prey to some politicians who have used them to their advantage.Be wary of such politicians,” she said.
