By JOHN KOMBE THE delay by China Civil Engineering Corporation to recommence works on the Chama/Lundazi road project is a source of worry, says Chasefu District Commissioner Mustafa Banda. In an interview, Mr. Banda observed that the road was key in the mainly agriculture province which needed a good road network. He was concerned that the works were not being expedited despite President Edgar Lungu directing the Ministry of Infrastructure Development to ensure that the contractor was paid and works recommence. Mr Banda said that the road was important as it would help farmers to access markets and receive agriculture inputs easily once rehabilitated. He expressed hope that the contractors would soon mobilise to speed up work on the project.
