By SANFROSSA MANYINDAEIGHT people were yesterday apprehended in Mufulira after being found with assorted scrap metals believed to have been stolen from Mopani Sinkhole.This was after a police operation at the mine yesterday.The eight are Brain Chishala, 26, Frazer Banda, 27, Emmanuel Kalikeka, 27 and Ronald Mlolo, 27.Others are Joe Shanzi, 29, Shadrick Mutondolo, 17, Oliver Mukosha, 42 and Kelvin kauseni, 26.Mopani Copper Mines management has since lauded the operation, following recent invasions by trespassers.This occurred yesterday around 10:30 hours along Boating Club road, Mopani Area.Copperbelt Commissioner of Police Elias Chushi confirmed that the suspects have been charged with criminal trespass.
